World Vision International ("WV"), an entity affiliated with World Vision, a relief, development and advocacy organisation, with address at 800 W. Chestnut Avenue, Monrovia, California, USA, provides this Privacy Statement to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy and protection of personal data. This Statement provides important information regarding the processing of the personal data you provide as a participant in the Church Leaders' Café, and your right to privacy and data protection.
As a participant of the Church Leaders' Café, you have been asked to provide certain personal data for the sole purpose of participating in the Café. Your personal data, such as name, role and church name, and address will be consolidated and stored by WV and processed in a data file of which WV is the data controller. Such data file is stored and processed via the online platform MailChimp, whose official name is The Rocket Science Group, LLC in accordance with its Terms of Service and Privacy Notice. MailChimp has certified its compliance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, and is committed to processing all personal data of EU and Swiss citizens in accordance with its respective Privacy Shield Principles.
Your privacy is important to us. Your personal data will only be processed as necessary to participate in the Church Leaders' Café.
Your information may be shared with the WV entity in your country of residence if you choose to opt-in to receive such information. Should you elect to receive more information from a WV affiliated entity in your country of residence, your personal data will be transferred with stringent security protocols in place. If you elect to share your data with the World Vision office in your country of residence, your personal data will be processed in accordance with that World Vision Office’s policies and in accordance with applicable law.
You may delete, modify or update the personal data at any time by contacting WV through any of the means listed below. Access to your personal data will be limited and only be available to you and to those who, according to their job function, need to have access to your information. World Vision will store your personal data for a period not to exceed one year, in accordance with World Vision internal policies and applicable law. After such period, your information will be cancelled and removed from our system.
If you consented to receive more information about Alpha (Alpha International), we will transfer your personal data with the Alpha entity located in your country of residence. If you elect to share your personal data with Alpha, your personal data will be processed in accordance with that Alpha office’s policies.
Your personal data will not be disclosed to any other non-WV entity other than as stated herein, or used for any other purpose, without first obtaining your express consent to do so. WVI does not sell, or exchange any personal data for use by marketing or employment agencies, or otherwise disclose such information to third parties, except as may be required by law or through voluntary cooperation with law enforcement authorities if we judge that such cooperation is necessary to protect WV’s legal interest.
